Deep History Beachcomber Walk with Jon Tyler
A stroll along the beach with a difference. Explore the strandline, sifting through flotsam and jetsam for funky fossils, rare rocks and marvellous minerals. Find out about the lost realm of Doggerland and the processes that formed the coast we see today. Learn where to find and how to recognise a variety of rocks, minerals and fossils found on the beach. Make use of beachcomber guides to seek out mermaids wash-bags and maybe experience a prawn manicure too on this adventure between the tides.
Suitable for adults & families with children aged 5 years and up. Not suitable for dogs.

Castaway Crafts Walk with Jon Tyler
Family craft activities using natural materials gathered from the beach. Have a go at; seashore postcards, jewellery making, strand-line mobiles, pebble carving and maybe clay crafts too. Find it, make it, keep it! There will be a range of activities suitable for adults & families with children aged 5 years and up.
Not suitable for dogs.

Friday 2nd June

Fencing for Families with Nic Hothersall
All sessions will be delivered by a British Fencing Association qualified instructor, and everyone will be provided with full protective clothing. The session begins by equipping each participant with a padded jacket, mask, foil, and glove before moving ahead and covering the fundamentals for attack and defence, including the En-Garde Stance, Lunge, Parry, and Riposte. Once participants have mastered these basics, they will have the opportunity to compete against their fellow fencers and really test their skills.
Suitable for 10 years and over.
