Everyone is welcome at Seashell Activities; family focussed seasonal activities with the emphasis on the natural environment.

For 2020 you will be able to take an interactive part in live moth trapping and identification, learn more about the birds and wildlife that inhabit this cliff top location. Enjoy beachcombing and rock pooling in the unique environment that is exposed when the tide retreats.

In addition to nature themed activities Fast Forward Sports are providing football sessions during the Summer Holidays.

All children should be accompanied by an adult and prior booking at reception is required unless stated. Events and activities can be booked a week in advance and are subject to availability and weather dependant.

Please note that due to social distancing guidelines, places may be limited on some activities.

For all activities please meet outside Reception.

Beachcomber Walk with Jon Tyler
A stroll along the beach with a difference. Explore the strand-line, sifting through flotsam and jetsam for funky fossils, rare rocks and marvellous minerals. Make use of a beachcomber guide to seek out mermaids wash-bags and maybe experience prawn manicure too on this adventure between the tides.

Castaway Crafts Walk with Jon Tyler
Family craft activities using natural materials from the shore. Have a go at; seashore postcards, jewellery making, strand-line mobiles, beach art and maybe clay crafts too.
Find it, make it, keep it!

Evening Rock Pool Prowl with Jon Tyler
Journey into the secret world of the shoreline; looking into rock pools and exploring the heavens on a night-time adventure.  The terrain will be rugged, so sturdy footwear essential, torches and kneeling mats provided.

Cliff Top Birds with Peter Walton
Bird and wildlife experiences including exploration of plant and insect rich meadows and special clifftop habitat with beach and waves below.

Moth Trapping and Identification with Peter Walton
When dusk arrives nocturnal moths stir and engage us with their tricks and beauty. Come for a stroll and learn about the natural world!

Try your hand at Leaf Rubbing

Leaf rubbing is really interesting, try it at home and discover the different shapes and patterns of leaves in your garden.
