Woodhill Receives Bathroom Boost

Now the park has received a boost with work completed on the refurbishment of one of the its main facility buildings, providing enhanced shower and bathroom facilities for its touring customers, ready from the start of the 2009 season and perfect for family friendly holidays.

Investing £150,000, Woodhill Park has added to their existing facilities by creating a new family bathroom, with a bath, shower, toilet, sink and baby changing units in addition to three family shower rooms, all with toilets and sinks. Green technology has played a major role in the refurbishment, with solar panels added to the roof of the building to heat the water, supported by a state of the art heat recovery and storage system.

Richard Knight, who has been Woodhill Park’s manager since 2002 and has worked for Blue Sky Leisure since 1993, said: “Updating our facilities is a must to ensure we continue to offers our visitors the very highest standards. We pride ourselves on being very family friendly and this latest investment in bath and shower room facilities conveys the message that we want to look after our guests and give added privacy because the whole family can use these new facilities together, it’s great for families with younger children.”

Located in East Runton, just a stone’s throw from the famous seaside resort of Cromer, Woodhill Park has stunning views of the North Norfolk coastline and surrounding countryside. It offers a range of luxury holiday homes, plus outstanding facilities for touring caravans, motor homes and campers. The holiday homes have either two or three bedrooms sleeping up to six people and are fully equipped with central heating, kitchen with microwave, gas oven/hob and fridge, colour television and DVD player, shower room and outside BBQ.

For touring and camping visitors there are also laundry and washing-up areas and chemical disposal points as well as a number of fully serviced pitches. But it’s not just the facilities and customer service that stands out, holidaymakers will find Woodhill Park has a very distinctive natural environment and is managed very carefully, so that certain species of plants will thrive and birds such as Skylarks are attracted.

The park places a high priority on the environment and is specially managed for the maximum benefit of wildlife. Since the late 1990s, a carefully designed management plan has been in operation for Woodhill’s natural assets. This means that wildflower meadows and native planting will ensure the park is a great food source for the wide variety of wildlife that lives on and around the site.

Visitors will hear the increasingly rare song of Skylarks through late spring and into summer, and there is always a profusion of wildflowers on the meadow which help to attract insects and butterflies. This commitment to the environment is long term to ensure wildlife will have a safe haven for many years to come.

The park has retained its gold status from the David Bellamy inspection that it has held for several years and its 4 Star Visit Britain Quality in Tourism ratings also revealed that Woodhill has continued its commitment to their visitors, improving consecutively over the past four years with the score of 90%.
